Myth, an iconic Mediterranean hotspot for food in Toronto was burned down in the middle of the night.
The restaurant has now closed down after suffering from a two-alarm fire in the early hours of Tuesday, February 28th.
Firefighters responded to a call at around 4 a.m. When arriving at the scene, the whole patio was ablaze, which spread through the building very quickly.
The fire was put under control within an hour. No injuries were reported.
No one was inside the building when it happened.
There is speculation of arson, but the fire’s cause is still under investigation.
Myth made an announcement earlier today on their Instagram.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of a devastating fire at Myth. There are no words to describe the shock and disbelief we all feel now, but we are grateful that no one was injured. We are also reminded of the tremendous work of our local fire and police department, who battled the fire at Myth on Tuesday, February 28th. Now, more than ever, we ask for the support of our community as we navigate the days and weeks ahead. Rest assured that we will rise and rebuild.”
